16 October 2006  Synergy Creations' Periodic Table 4.0.5 for Mac OS X is now available. This version adds Mα1 x-ray emission lines, and corrects some of the labels for other x-ray emission line data. Periodic Table 4 can be registered for $20. Upgrades from versions prior to 4.0 are $15. Periodic Table 4.0.5 requires Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later (10.3 or later recommended). 29 September 2006  Synergy Creations' Periodic Table 4.0.3 for Windows XP is now available. Many, many features have been added since the previous version of Periodic Table for Windows (3.5.2). This is a huge update, bringing the Windows edition to feature parity with the Mac OS X edition. In other words, new features include: new tables, resizable tables, savable charts and tables, and much more. We feel that Periodic Table 4 is truly now a great Windows application. Periodic Table 4 can be registered for $20. Crossgrades are available if you have registered the Macintosh edition and wish to add a license for the Windows edition. Periodic Table 4.0.3 for Windows XP requires Windows XP or later (Service Pack 2 or later). Download Periodic Table 4.0.3 today!

28 August 2006  Synergy Creations' Periodic Table 4.0.4 is now available. Synergy Creations' Periodic Table 4.0.4 brings a number of improvements to the software, and is recommended for all users. One change is the updating of atomic weights (mean relative atomic masses) to the IUPAC 2005 standard. In most of the 16 non-superheavy elements which have updated values, the changes in weights impact the last decimal place of accuracy--you aren't going to get any general chem questions wrong using the old values! Other changes occur in some of the superheavy elements, where the mass number of the most stable isotope is by tradition the mass listed, rather than an average mass. As some of these superheavy elements are known from only a handful of short-lived atoms in accelerators, it is unsurprising that the longest-lived isotope may change a bit as our knowledge increases. Finally, you can now optionally display the atomic masses on the element information window with the standard uncertainty of the least significant digit (this is a preference under the "Units" tab). Periodic Table 4 can be registered for $20. Upgrades from versions prior to 4.0 are $15. Periodic Table 4.0.4 requires Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later (10.3 or later recommended). 18 August 2006  ChemDuet 1.4 is now available. ChemDuet 1.4 replaces periodicPod (see next item). The install process now provides better progress feedback, and installation from a Mac to a Windows-formatted iPod (now the default in new iPods) is much faster. ChemDuet requires any recent iPod with a screen (iPod video, iPod nano, iPod mini, iPod photo, or 3rd, 4th Generation iPod, etc.) Installers for Mac OS X and Windows XP are available. You can register ChemDuet for only $12 to enable all the features.

18 August 2006  ChemDuet is the new name for the software formerly called periodicPod. Upgrading to ChemDuet is free for everyone who has registered periodicPod. We hope you like the new name. The name change is to avoid potential name conflicts with a company who makes popular music players. The new name also emphasizes better that ChemDuet is software for chemistry.

6 June 2006  Printable Periodic Table PDFs are now available. If you need a basic printable periodic table, this is for you. These are a free download. Of course, for more advanced tables and flexibility, try our Periodic Table software.

25 January 2006  The First Intel Macs were recently introduced by Apple, who have announced their intention to transition from PowerPC to Intel processors in Mac computers. The Intel-based Macs will run Mac OS X software compiled for PowerPC Macs, such as our current Mac OS X software. We do plan to produce "Intel-native" versions of our Mac OS X software. However, as our software applications are generally not processor-intensive, there is no reason to wait for these versions--the current PowerPC Mac OS X applications offered by Synergy Creations should run fine on the new Intel Macs.

23 January 2006  Periodic Table 4.0.2 is now available. Periodic Table 4.0.2 brings a number of improvements to the software, and is recommended for all users. The included texts have especially been improved, and Basic Table is now a startup option again, as it was prior to version 4.0. Periodic Table 4 can be registered for $20.
