12 October 2005  Why Periodic Table 4 Rocks Ok, we won't list all of the new features--you'll have to download it to try them all... But here are a few:

  • There are now more datasets. (But perhaps you expected that...)
  • Tables are now very customizable. How customizable? You can now detach hydrogen from the alkali metals, and pop it over on the halogens...
  • Tables are not only customizable, but you can now create your own tables, and save/share them in external custom table files.
  • An expanded and centralized glossary...
  • Support for multiple table and graph windows displayed simultaneously.
  • Registered users now get a PDF manual. (Download link provided after registration.)
  • The element information screen looks better and is more responsive. (Yes, it does more and it's faster.)
  • Streamlined graphing capabilities, graphs are now highly customizable.
  • Customizable (seeing a trend here?) mini info windows can float above elements you mouse over on a table.
  • The tables and graphs are resizable, and you can view multiple tables and graphs simultaneously, so now you finally have a reason for requisitioning that 30-inch cinema display...
  • You can now search for some "lost" elements, such as cassiopium and columbium. And you can search for French, German, and Swedish element names.
  • The tables (not just graphs) are exportable--and at your choice of sizes.

15 January 2005  New pricing for Synergy Creations' Periodic Table software. Two major changes are happening with Synergy Creations' Periodic Table software. The first happened today, with the first preview release of a Windows XP edition of Synergy Creations' Periodic Table. The new Windows XP edition is priced at $20.
